Three of QC Ballet's Junior Students invited to enrol in the Australian Ballet School's Full-time programme for 2009!
Nicole Saxby, Brooke Tytherleigh and Nicole Blain were all invited to enrol in the Australian Ballet School's full-time program in 2009 after participating in a 1 week intensive training programme at the ABS in March 2008.
The QC Ballet students were selected from amongst 60 participants from the Australian Ballet School's Interstate Junior Program (now the Interstate / International Training Program) and offered placements for the full-time programme in 2009.
It is a testament to their determination and dedication and also positive affirmation for the quality education provided by the Queensland Conservatoire of Ballet through the elite training of the Nationally Accredited Dance Programmes offered for students from the age of 12 yrs +.
The Queensland Conservatoire of Ballet is one of the first Accredited Queensland Dance Schools to offer full-time classical and contemporary ballet training to students under the age of 14.
With a progressive and graduated approach to increased contact dance hours, specialised pilates and strength and conditioning programmes, and access to Optima Fitness Personal Trainers, the students are well managed to safely evolve the young dancers' growing physique and accomodate the intense training integral to these elite programmes.
